I started trying to warm up some great black and white photographs and then add some expressive type, but this is too much like what I would normally do. Instead for this annual report I want to focus on being 1)Quieter 2) Warmer 3) and more Journalistic for my redesign of Doctors without Borders 2006 report.

Below is a screen shot from the 2006 report. Screaming sans serif type. Shocking red and black. It’s very shocking. I don’t want to use scare tactics to solicit support, but instead celebrate humanity and life AND share the news. DWB are affected each year by civil war and corruption. World events set their agenda.

The big weekend finally arrived.

My d-day: I was responsible for both Ligature 17 (our annual student-run design show featuring big-name guests who give lectures, workshops, and portfolio reviews) and SAJE (the Student Arts Juried Exhibition) which both opened this past Friday.
